Land Rover is celebrating its 60th Anniversary with the special edition Defender SVX model. The iconic new Defender retains a strong resemblance to its 1948 predecessor, yet boasts an array of modern features.
More than 25,000 units are produced each year as rugged work horses, however the 60th anniversary SVX special edition model will enjoy its status as the most feature-packed model Land Rover has ever produced.
Available as a seven-seat 110 station wagon exclusively in a metallic black finish, each Defender SVX features an individually numbered plaque, a restyled grille surround, tubular side-steps, unique alloy wheels, reinforced aluminium front undershield, clear-lens headlamps and LED reverse/rear fog lights.
The interior is surprisingly refined for such a typically rugged off-roader, featuring custom-designed Recaro front seats, machined alloy gear knobs, a new audio system (with subwoofer and USB socket), iPod compatibility and Garmin satellite navigation.
A total of 1,800 Defender 110 SVXs will be produced worldwide, with a limited quantity making it to Australian shores. Pricing for the Defender 110 SVX is $62,990.
